A Mini Rant

I wanted to share a big pet peeve of mine in blogger land. It really bothers me when I take Isla to a park and I see a group of mom's talking with their backs turned to their children. I just want to go up to them and yell "HELLO. Who is watching your child?" "Can you please keep an eye on your child." Look, I get that stay at home mom's need adult time. I understand that we meet other mom's at the park so our children can play and we can chit chat. I meet my mommy friends at the park all the time but we must be super talented......We talk AND watch our children at the same time! I know shocking, right? This bothers me because Isla can't defend herself from little kids that have hit, thrown sand and said snotty things to her. When these things have happened there was no mom running over to tell their child it wasn't okay to hit, throw sand or say snotty things. I'm the one that has to say something. Why is it so hard to parent your child? You had this child and you need to teach them right from wrong, not ignore them.

Does anyone else see this when they're out and about? Does this bother anyone else?
I wonder do these mom's ever just take their child to the park alone for some one-on-one time? Sometime's I like to just spend the day alone with Isla and it's such a gift to be able to give her my undivided attention.

I love a little rant every now and then! I totally agree with you on this one....and probably the reason why those kids bully other kids is because their moms have never seen it and intervened! I personally get anxious if we're in a public place and I can't see Ellie at all times. We were at a park last week, and once it started to get crowded I just couldn't take it anymore and we left :)
