A good time

This was a fun, busy weekend!
Kisses for baby!
It started when Isla’s god mother flew down and spent some time with us on Friday. It had been way too long since we all saw each other and as usual Isla took to her right away. She just loves her aunt Jenny.
Auntie Jenn
On Saturday we drove Isla to Old Town San Diego. We love Old Town and hadn’t been since I was pregnant with Isla. She did great on the drive up but grew a little antsy on the drive home. She was an angel though! We let her run around a “castle” as she called it, ate at a yummy Mexican restaurant, chased birds, had beef jerky and visited the candy shop. Isla was treated to a cotton candy lollipop.
It really was a great day

Kisses for daddy

She loved chasing the birds while saying "Come here birdies, come say hi to Isla!"

So much to see

Mmmmm mexican food! And the one thing she wanted from the Old Town toy store, a school bus! My daughter likes boy toys including Zurg from Toy Story.

On Sunday we took Isla to Disneyland for the morning. It’s really best to go in the mornings before the big crowds hit. Now whenever we ask her if she wants to go have fun she screams “Disneyland!” I think it’s safe to say it’s her favorite thing to do.

She was a bit scared of "kitty" although she loves the movie/ride!

These active days aren’t as easy as they were 13 weeks ago but I love getting out with our little family. I’m learning my limits and by hour 3 of walking I start to feel a bit sore and tired…..I pretty much plop my butt down in the car and let out a big sigh! I'm trying to take it easy today.

It was a fun weekend and was really needed. I think we all needed to recharge and have a change of scenery.
