11 Things

I've been dealing with some major writers block due to 5:00am wake up calls. I forgot how hard it is to function on little sleep. I think my brain has turned to mush lately so having Amanda over at http://prettylittlebuzz.blogspot.com/ tag me in this fun little game was a good way to get back into the swing of things. Here goes nothing!!

11 Facts about ME:
1. I'm an only child

2. Alex and I bought our first house at 21.

3. My first job was at the local Dairy Queen.

4. I taught preschool for 8 years before becoming a stay at home mom.

5. I tend to curse way too much.....I know it's a problem.

6. I love road trips and wine.

7. I love the beach.....Just walking along the beach does wonders for my soul.

8. Watching my dad die changed me forever.

9. My first car was a yellow 1977 Camero with tiger seat covers. I'm so old gas was only $.99 back then!!

10. I'm a huge Howard Stern fan.

11. I love my alone time and would love to take a solo vacation one day.

Here's the questions Amanda had for me:

1. What is your favorite meal? I love me some good Mexican food, it always makes me happy!


2. Did you ever (or do you still) have a nickname(s)? What were they and how did they come to be? My Mimi and great-grandma called me "Barbie doll" my entire childhood. They were the only ones allowed to do that.


3. What is your favorite time of the day? I'm a night owl, I just can't be one much anymore.


4. What is one chore that you absolutely hate? I hate cleaning the shower, it's so much work!


5. If money and gas prices were no object, what kind of car/vehicle would you love to own? Hmmmm I'm I'm not a fan of huge cars so I think I'd choose an Audi station wagon with top of the line everything. I'd like it to be white with tan leather interior....You can tell I've never once thought of this. ;)


6. Lefty or righty? Right


7. Would you consider yourself to be an organized person? I really try to be. I'm a bit of a clean freak, I can't stand to have a dirty house. As far as being organized I'd love to have a place for everything and this is ongoing.....


8. Do you get nervous speaking in front of small groups? Large groups? This really isn't a fear of mine I guess I'm not too shy.


9. Do you have a celebrity crush? If so, who? (pictures are totally acceptable? ;) Well how does one choose? I'd say Ryan Reynolds :)


10. If you could eat only fruits or vegetables for a whole week, which would it be? Fruits or veggies? It would be fruit.


11. What is your favorite local (non-chain) restaurant (or coffee shop, ice cream parlor, etc)? One of the things about Orange County that I hate.....everything is a chain! Alex and I do love one little french restaurant in Costa Mesa called "Marche Moderne" So yummy.
